After going undefeated (three wins and a draw) in his first month at the helm of Pacific FC, James Merriman has been named the Canadian Premier League's coach of the month for April. Pacific defeated Forge, Valour and HFX at Starlight Stadium before drawing against FC Edmonton on the road to end the month. Merriman's squad also led the league in goals scored during April with seven. Merriman undoubtedly has big shoes to fill on the Island after inheriting the Canadian Premier League championship-winning Pacific from 2021 CPL Coach of the Year Pah-Modou Kah, but thus far has done an excellent job of keeping up the club's momentum.
