Forge FC now know the dates for their first matches of the 2021 Concacaf League. Drawn against Salvadoran side Club Deportivo Futbolistas Asociados Santanecos (known as CD FAS) in the Preliminary Round, the first leg will take place on Wednesday, August 4, with Forge playing at home. Their away leg will be played a few weeks later, on Tuesday, August 17. If they advance to the Round of 16, they'd take on Panamanian club Independiente. The first leg of that match would take place on Tuesday, September 21, with the second leg a week later on September 28. The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds would take place between October and November, with the final scheduled for early-mid December.

Forge announced in a press release on Friday that the home leg of their tie with CD FAS will be played in Hamilton at Tim Hortons Field. “It is an honour for Forge FC to represent Hamilton as the CPL Champions in Concacaf League for the third consecutive season,” said Forge's director of football, Costa Smyrniotis. “We’re very proud of our accomplishments in our first two appearances and look forward to competing against these quality clubs in Concacaf League again in 2021.” Forge have The Kickoff to worry about first -- the eight-game start to the CPL season in a bubble in Winnipeg.
