FC Edmonton added one more player to their squad on Thursday, announcing that they've signed 20-year-old defender Saah T-Boy Fayia for the 2021 CPL season. Fayia is an Edmonton native and a product of the FCE academy, although he also spent time in the Vancouver Whitecaps youth system. He played 21 times for the Whitecaps' U-19 side in 2018-19, scoring one goal, having previously also appeared for the side at several other youth levels. Fayia also previously appeared at two Canadian national team youth identification camps in 2015 and 2016 under coach Ante Jazic.

The Eddies also revealed that Fayia has been training with the first team since February. With this addition, Edmonton now has 21 players signed for the upcoming CPL season. They will kick off the 2021 campaign this Saturday, June 26 against Atlético Ottawa (2 pm ET/1 pm CT, on OneSoccer) at IG Field in Winnipeg.
