The past week was a slightly busier one for CPLers scattered around the world. In last week's roundup, Michael Petrasso was the only player to see the pitch. This time around, Petrasso was out there again, but he was joined by a few other CPLers who were involved with their clubs (including one competitive debut). Although some leagues are still on pause due to COVID-19 lockdowns, others are back underway (or are close to returning). Here's how things went for the eight loanee CPL players in the past seven days.

Easton Ongaro (FC Edmonton) — Vendsyssel FF (Denmark)

Some good news has emerged on this front. After Vendsyssel was forced into a holding pattern due to COVID-19 restrictions in their region of Denmark, the club will be returning from its hiatus a little earlier than expected. They'll be on the road to play Hvidovre IF this Saturday, as they hope to climb out of the bottom of the table. So, the big FC Edmonton striker may get back on the pitch sooner than previously expected. He's played five games for the side so far, and he's still searching for his first goal.

Michael Petrasso (York9 FC) — Barnet FC (England)

Over in Edgware, the Bees saw their four-game unbeaten run halted by a 3-1 loss to Bromley FC. It wasn't all bad for Petrasso, though, as the York9 winger scored for the second game in a row, giving Barnet the slightest bit of life in the 68th minute. It was a heck of a strike, too; after patiently waiting for a good through-ball, he ran onto his pass in the box and flicked it into the top corner at the near post. Barnet coach Peter Beadle said after the game that Petrasso had taken his goal brilliantly after a lacklustre first half from the whole squad, and that the Canadian was continuing to improve since breaking into the squad. Up next for Barnet is another league match on Tuesday afternoon, when they'll travel to take on King's Lynn Town.

Nicholas Hamilton (York9 FC) — Dundee FC (Scotland)

The Jamaican finally saw some action for Dundee. He made his debut as a substitute in the 88th minute of Dundee's 3-0 Betfred Cup win over Cove Rangers last Tuesday, joining two other Dundee debutants in a late triple-change to help see out the match. Hamilton didn't see the pitch in the weekend's ensuing Cup match against Hibernian, remaining an unused sub. Dundee will return to league play this weekend, travelling to play Ayr United in the Scottish Championship on Saturday.

Julian Ulbricht (York9 FC) — 1. FC Phönix Lübeck (Germany)

Ulbricht's club continues to sit idle in its competitions, as Germany remains under lockdown. It's unclear when exactly they might get back onto the pitch, although it would likely be December at the earliest.

Emil Gazdov (Pacific FC) — 1. FC Nürnberg (Germany)

The same thing continues to be true for Gazdov in Germany, although Nürnberg's youth sides are still training, which continues to benefit Pacific's young keeper.

José Escalante (Cavalry FC) — CDS Vida (Honduras)

CDS Vida returned to the pitch on Sunday after Hurricane Eta caused the previous weekend's games to be postponed. Escalante's club travelled to the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa to play Motagua, falling 3-0 to the current top team in the country. Escalante did start the match for Vida, but he didn't manage to make much of an impact in the attack as his team was held off the scoresheet. Nonetheless, they remain in first place in Group B of the Honduran league. Up next for them is an away game against Platense this Wednesday.

José Galán (Valour FC) — CP Villarrobledo (Spain)

Villarrobledo didn't play in the past week, and remained bottom of the table in Group V of the Segunda División B. Galán missed the last match due to injury anyway, and it's unclear if he would've been available this weekend. Perhaps Galán might be involved this coming weekend, when Villarrobledo seek their first win of the season on Sunday against CD Badajoz.

Viti Martínez (Atlético Ottawa) — Alavés B (Spain)

The Alavés reserve side took on Bilbao Athletic (another La Liga reserve squad) on Saturday, suffering a 2-0 defeat. The good news, however, is that Martínez did make an appearance, entering in the 73rd minute to play the final quarter of an hour in central midfield. It was Martínez's second appearance for Alavés B, after missing the week before. The team sits fifth in their 11-team group right now. They'll look to improve this Sunday when they host second-place SD Amorebieta.
