Alarcón makes his return to North America with Cavalry FC after most recently playing with newly-promoted Liga 1 Romania side, FC Universitatea Cluj. “I am very grateful and excited for this opportunity. I can’t wait to defend my new colours and play in front of all the fans. I’m confident that it will be an amazing season for everyone,” said Alarcón. The right-footed fullback has arrived in Calgary and will be joining the squad as they travel to face Atlético Ottawa on July 9. “Roberto is an excellent signing for us,” said Cavalry FC Head Coach and General Manager Tommy Wheeldon Jr. “We have been tracking him for a while and we feel he is a player that can come in right away and provide us with a different tactical approach. He is technically very good, has great energy to get around the pitch and plays the game with terrific intelligence.”
