20220215 - Training TW

Cavalry FC announces that the team has officially begun pre-season training. Pre-season training for the 2022 Canadian Premier League season commences this week with the long-anticipated return of coaches and players to the Cavalry FC training pitch. Players and coaches have arrived with an energy and determination that is focused on fielding a winning side. Off-season changes to the roster and coaching staff provide a further element of excitement and anticipation. Cavalry FC will continue to strictly obey all local health authority and government COVID-19 safety regulations, as well as the protocols set forth by the Canadian Premier League. The wellness of our community, players, and staff is of utmost importance, and all operations will proceed with health and safety as a priority.

“It is brilliant to be back on the field again with the players and staff. This off-season seemed a lot shorter than the one prior and we are thankful to be reconnected and back to doing what we love best. There is a hunger in this side and with the number of returning faces we have, we know chemistry is hard to teach and something we want to continue to foster.”

– Tommy Wheeldon Jr. (Head Coach & General Manager, Cavalry FC).

“Tommy and the entire staff have worked extremely hard over the last four and a half months to create a roster and staff focussed on winning, and building a strong and respective product that our fans and supporters can be proud of, on and off the field. This is an exciting time for the game in this country.”

– Ian Allison (President & COO)
