Cavalry FC added some depth to its defence on Monday with the announcement that it has signed former Republic of Ireland youth international Tom Field for the 2021 CPL season. Field, a 23-year-old English left fullback, is a product of Brentford FC’s youth academy, having debuted for the senior team during the 2016-17 season. He will bring quality both sides of the ball and has a terrific left foot to give us balance down our left," Cavs coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. said in a media release. Field has a bit of international experienced under his belt, having earned a pair of caps for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-16 team. Field is the 13th Cavalry player confirmed for 2021, joining newcomers Joseph Di Chiara and Ahinga Selemani, returnees such as José Escalante, Elijah Adekugbe, Mason Trafford and Nik Ledgerwood
