Missing the Canadian Premier League's Island Games? Well, you may be in luck. The CPL revealed on Thursday a brand-new commemorative book, titled "The Story of the Island Games," to help fans look back on an incredible second year for the league in a unique way. Full of stunning graphics and photographs from the 2020 season in Prince Edward Island, the book tells the whole story of the Island Games, from how it all came together to how it ended, with Forge FC lifting the North Star Shield after winning the Final.

The whole journey is documented — the selection of Charlottetown as host city, life in the CPL bubble, and every memorable moment of the 35 games played at UPEI Alumni Field — alongside specially-designed illustrations from passionate fan (and professional graphic artist) Dariush Ramezani. Each match has its own page, as do all eight CPL clubs who took part in the Island Games experience, plus the many fans back at home who supported their teams throughout the competition as members of the Collective. Plus, every single goal scored at the Island Games has been included in graphic form, drawn by Ramezani. "This book is representative of many things," said David Clanachan, Canadian Premier League commissioner. "Memories, hardship, support, safety, endurance and most importantly success. We are thrilled to offer this book to our fans and supporters to celebrate what was another monumental year that celebrates all of us." "The Story of the Island Games" will be released on January 14, 2021, but it's available for pre-sale beginning December 17 and continuing until January 13, 2021. The book is available in both hardcover ($49.99 plus HST and shipping) and softcover ($29.99 plus HST and shipping) editions.
