Atlético Ottawa has revealed another member of its 2021 squad. The club announced on Tuesday that Jordan Webb, a native of Pickering, Ont., has signed for the upcoming CPL season, and he is participating in Atlético's pre-season training camp currently underway at the Club Atlético de Madrid facilities in Spain. Webb is a 33-year-old both-sided winger, who has played the bulk of his professional career in Singapore, after brief North American stints in the PDL with Cleveland Internationals, Springfield Demize, and Toronto Lynx (in 2007, 2008, and 2009, respectively). He first signed in Singapore for Hougang United, for whom he went on to play 88 times. In 248 total career appearances at the professional level in Singapore, Webb has played for five different clubs -- most recently Tampines Rovers, one of the largest clubs in the country. He has won the Singapore Cup twice, in 2013 with Home United (now known as Lion City Sailors), and again in 2019 with Tampines. Webb also has significant experience in the AFC Cup, having played continental games against clubs from across Asia.

A prolific attacker, Webb has scored 101 goals in his professional career, with 28 assists (including 11 goals in 16 matches in the 2019-20 season, his most recent). "Jordan Webb is going to be a special player for us," said Atlético Ottawa CEO Fernando Lopez in a statement. "He is an experienced, renowned player that has an innate ability to create chances and score goals, and he has proven it throughout his entire professional career. He has been overseas for many years and now it was the right time to be back to his country and demonstrate to Canada what he is capable of." Ottawa head coach Mista added: "Jordan is one of those players who will make a big difference through his experience, it will assist our club growth. He is a talented player that will increase our scoring opportunities. He has won almost everywhere he has played; we look for him to bring that form to our club." With the addition of Webb, Atlético Ottawa has 13 players signed for 2021, with Webb being the fourth newcomer after Keesean Ferdinand, Dylon Powley, and Chris Mannella. He's also just the second natural attacker added to the squad, with striker Malcolm Shaw returning from 2020. The club is currently training in Spain, at several facilities of its parent club Atlético de Madrid, and more members of the 2021 squad are likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
