Atlético Ottawa have announced that they have safely landed in Canada and returned to Ottawa. In the following weeks, the team will comply with all the mandatory Public Health Protocols and regulations applicable to international travelers set forth due to COVID-19. All protocols will be followed at the direction of Public Health Authorities and the Canadian Premier League before returning to training as a team in Canada.

"We are very happy to be in Canada as a team after a very successful nine weeks of training camp in Spain. We would like to thank everyone involved in helping make our return to Canada as smooth as possible. We can’t wait to get back on the field in Canada, get the season underway and show our fans everything we have been building while we were away," said Atlético Ottawa CEO Fernando Lopez. Last month, CPL Commissioner David Clanachan said the league was targetting a single-site start to the 2021 CPL season for "mid-June to early July."
