Doan says he has deal with Coyotes, awaiting purchase
basically a deal is done and is waiting for the new owner's cash reserves to fully secure the team. If that fails he has two or three teams he will sign with.
If the PHX deal falls though you bet your ass this is what is holding up the Lui deal. If he signs here the Nucks will send Lui to chicago or wherever for a bag of pucks just to clear the cap space so you essentially have a Doan for Lui trade.
I like the idea of Doan here, I don't like the idea of a straight across trade. I think Lui is worth more than that, but as in anything- something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
